Learning Experiences:

Learning within the Media Arts is structured within four main strands. These strands are: Explore and represent ideas, media arts practices, present and perform, and respond and interpret.

Within each strand students are expected to both, learn to respond to media and also to create and make media. The resources that have been collected and developed for this unit are organised under tabs to align with the specific strands.

Within Media Arts for year 9 & 10 we utilise a major theme to base our learning and creating around. The theme reflected in these resources is 'People.'This can include looking at individuals and their hobbies, jobs or interests. Students could focus on families, cultures or generations. Students could look at personal growth, how people develop or even just common things all people do.

The four strands:

Within this strand students will be 'exploring and experimenting with ideas and representations using images, sound and text. Manipulating media structure, elements and concepts with intent to represent and communicate ideas.'
